Custom Banner Size Guide: Which Banner for Which Occasion?

A custom banner can announce a grand opening, welcome guests to a wedding or cheer on a team. But which size should you pick? Here is a quick guide to our polyester banner sizes and what they work best for.

Long and narrow banners

• 1 × 4 ft (30 × 120 cm) – a slim strip for tables, doorways, desks and photo backdrops. Great for a short message or a name.
• 2 × 4 ft (60 × 120 cm) – the all-rounder for birthdays, shop counters and market stalls.
• 2 × 6 ft (60 × 180 cm) – more room for a slogan plus a logo, ideal for tables at fairs and events.

Medium banners

• 3 × 6 ft (90 × 180 cm) – a popular choice for storefronts, fences and wall displays.
• 4 × 6 ft (120 × 180 cm) – perfect as an event backdrop or for being seen from across a room or street.

Square banners

• 4 × 4 ft (120 × 120 cm) and 5 × 5 ft (150 × 150 cm) – great for logos, photo walls and designs that work best in a square format.

Large banners

• 4 × 8 ft (120 × 240 cm) – a strong statement for building fronts, stages and sports venues.
• 5 × 10 ft (150 × 300 cm) – our biggest size, made for festivals, trade shows and big outdoor events.

Quick tips

• The further away people are, the bigger your text needs to be – keep the message short.
• Every banner has metal grommets in the corners, so keep text away from the corners.
• Our polyester banners are weather-resistant and work indoors and outdoors.
